Pune is well known for brass and bronze artifacts and statuettes which may be purchased in and around Ram Mandir in Tulsi Baug. Depending on your budget, youcould shop for silk sarees like 'Paithani' –which are costlier or 'Narayanpeth' which are relatively cheaper. For the cotton lovers, elegant cotton sarees and salwar suits are available in a range of colors. The best area to shop for these is 'Laxmi Road' in the heart of the city.

Handmade folders made out of cloth and artistically designed with 'Jari' borders are good to gift. 'SMILE' - an organization run by women has a range of gift articles and operates from 'Vishrambaugwada'.

For the food lovers, Pune is known for 'Bakarwadi', 'Mango Burfi', 'Potato Chivda' and 'Laxminarayan Chivda'. Batata wada and Misal pav are a 'must have' while you are in Pune. Kayani Bakery has an array of cookies and cakes. Their Shrews berry biscuits are delectable.

SCHC offers primary Health Care Services at the Conference venue. We have sent all the delegates a medical information form. This will help the conference organizers to be prepared to provide suitable first aid.

The University campus is about 20 kms. From the nearest hospital [Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital]. SCHC will have a stock of basic medicines. However, we recommend that the delegates carry their own medicines. Should there be a requirement of specific medicines, the organizers will assist in purchasing them, but the minimum time required is about 1 hour, subject to availability of the same brand in India.
